The data collected by Pepe Research for AIE were presented at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
On Tuesday, March 7, findings from Pepe Research’s Observatory on Reading Among Children and Adolescents, conducted on behalf of the Italian Publishers Association (AIE), were presented at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
The study highlights the growth of reading habits among children and even preschool-aged kids, thanks also to the support of parents. Minors are increasingly combining traditional print reading with digital formats, although fully digital reading remains a marginal phenomenon.
However, the true enjoyment of reading remains limited. Reading is an activity that tends to lose importance among young people’s leisure activities as they grow older, when the influence of family and school becomes less significant.
